Join us in voicing our rage about this authoritarian regime

Our nation is in crisis. Innocent people are being ripped from their homes, grocery stores, and community spaces people with no criminal records, people with pending applications for citizenship or asylum. This is not the land of the free. On August 2nd, we will rise in resistance. We will RAGE against the REGIME.

We are gathering at the King Center and marching to the Atlanta ICE Field Office to send a powerful message against the increasing authoritarianism that has taken root in this administration. From the widespread abuse of power by federal agencies to the weaponization of immigration enforcement, we cannot stand idly by while our rights, values, and communities are under attack.

As the government continues to disregard constitutional protections, especially in the realm of immigration enforcement, we must fight back. The abuse of power by agencies like ICE and CBP is not only a threat to our national security but also to the principles of justice, fairness, and human dignity. This march represents our unwavering commitment to these values.

Why We Are Marching

  • Stop Authoritarian Overreach: This administration continues to push policies that undermine our democracy and threaten the rule of law. We are here to make it clear: we will not tolerate these attacks on our freedoms like free speech and the right to due process.

  • End the Weaponization of Immigration Enforcement: The actions of ICE and CBP have become increasingly reckless and harmful. We are demanding the cessation of unlawful raids, the end of inhumane detention practices, and the halt to deportations to unstable, dangerous countries. Every person, regardless of their status, deserves basic human rights and the protection of the Constitution.

  • Demand Accountability: We will not allow the government to engage in unchecked actions that violate the rights of vulnerable communities. It’s time for oversight and reform: no more secretive tactics, no more violations of privacy and dignity, and no more targeting individuals based on their identity, race, or political views.

What You Can Expect

This will be a peaceful, nonviolent demonstration. We ask all participants to respect the instructions of our organizers and to remain calm and composed throughout the event.

Given the limited space around the ICE Field Office, be prepared to follow instructions from organizer representatives in the event that overflow areas are needed. Our commitment to nonviolence and safety is paramount, and we will make adjustments as needed to try to maintain a safe environment for everyone involved.

Why Your Presence Matters

This protest is not just about standing against ICE and CBP: it’s about standing for what’s right. It’s about protecting our values, our Constitution, and the people who make up our diverse, vibrant communities. It’s about showing that we will not back down in the face of injustice.
