Pocketbook Brigade

Speak up, speak out, get in the way. Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America.
- John Lewis
"all it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing"
Edmond Burke
John Lewis’ and Edmund Burke’s words are as important now as the days they uttered them. We have used several tools in the past to show our rejection to biogtry and hatred and other attitudes that hold some of us down, while giving others unfair opportunities. We out number the priviledged few and our numbers give us power.
We have the power of our pocketbooks. Let’s flex those spending muscles and spend our money with companies that support the ideals of diversity, equity and inclusion that have made our country the strongest country in the world. When we spend our money with companies that don’t support the principle that “All Men Are Created Equal”, we are working against the best interest of our country.
We are a nonprofit group that encourages people to use their purchasing power to support companies and elected officicals that reflect our morales and values.
The purpose of our organization is divided into five catagories:
The first catagory is to educate people about how their personal spending can affect local, state and national government policies and the creation and administration of laws.
We encourage people to get involved, speak up, speak out, get in the way, to get into good trouble and help redeem the soul of America similarity to the way, Georiga, US Congressional Representative, John Lewis, encouraged people with his words and deeds.
We also encourage people to follow the ideaology of former United States President Jimmy Carter. Inparticular, we encourage people to make a bold and clear committment to ensure that power no longer serves as a cover to oppress or injure people but, to raise our standard of empathy and support for all people who are in need of assistance in order to lead a life with dignity and hope.
We demand that all inhabitants of the United States be treated equally under the law and that they have fair and equitable access to healthcare, this includes a stance on immigration reform simular to Ronald Reagan's ideaology which allowed nearly three (3) million undocumented immigrants to utilmately be approved for permanent resident status under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
Also, in keeping with Ronald Reagan's ideaology we want to encourage a friendly but cautious relationship with all countries, in the spirit of trust but verify, with the understanding that all of our economies are tied together and affect each other.
In summary, our purpose is to find the ways in which we can do the most good for the most people and to interfer in the progress of those who would rather see our country exist in an environment that is unfair and unconstitutional in it's treatment of citizens and noncitizens alike, we also want to frustrate the efforts of those who foster an attitude of isolationist policies and fear.
